Tutors will be trained to use the Socratic method with small groups of 10th and 11th grade students under the supervision of a teacher in an AVID classroom. Tutors serve as guides, mentors, and facilitators of student learning through writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading. Tutor hours range from 2-4 hours per week from mid-October through the end of May. Tutoring sessions will be from 9-11am, one to two times per week.

This is a stipend position that will be paid at the end of February and the end of May.
