Learning Facilitator - Chiloquin GED/CR Evening Class
This is a 3.5 hour Learning Facilitator (Bachelor's degree required) position that will serve at Chiloquin High School after regular school hours Monday thru Thursday. The position is 14 hours per week. This position will coordinate with Klamath Community College and will support high school age students and adult students working towards their GED. This is a temporary position based on program success and grant funding.
Duties include:
- Supervision of the GED/CR Evening Class at Chiloquin High School. Anticipated hours are M - Th, 5:00 - 8:30.
- Provide academic support for students working towards their GED or credit recovery courses.
- Coordinate GED instruction and coursework with the KCC/KCET department and the KCC GED instructor.
- Provide limited technical support for synchronous video classroom equipment.
- Support/coordinate testing services at KCC which may, on occasion, require travel to the KCC campus.
- Promote the Chiloquin GED Program within the Chiloquin community.
The successful candidate should have the following skills and traits:
- Reasonable computer and technical skills to support online curriculum and video classroom equipment.
- Confident and positive rapport with adolescent and adult students.
- Experience working with youth and/or adults in an educational or similar setting.
- Strong skills in high school level reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems independently.
- Strong work ethic, extremely consistent attendance.
- The ability to work as a team member for instructional delivery and the educational success of the program's students.
