The ideal candidate will not only be a dynamic teacher of Agriculture Education, but will also be passionate about building a strong FFA program, collaborating with school and district colleagues, and creating strong ties with the community. 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for academic performance and responsibility for behavior.
• Ensure high quality instruction takes place every day.

• Collaborate with department and district colleagues.
• Serve as FFA adviser, including overseeing on-site greenhouse and farm, holding chapter meetings and community events, and coordinating student competitions and events.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Ag Science curriculum.
• Experience with advising FFA and working with the state and national organization.
• Highly organized and strong communicator.
• Ability to create and maintain community ties.
• Effective at promoting self-discipline through classroom management strategies.

• Enthusiasm and passion for working with adolescents.

Primary Function:

To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program, as designated by the Klamath County School District, in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
