Paraprofessional-
Some classified positions with the Klamath County School District require: an AA Degree from an accredited institution, or Transcripts proving the applicant has completed two (2) years or 72 quarter credit hours or 48 semester credit hours in an institution of Higher Education, or a passing grade on the ETS/Praxis Paraprofessional exam. Must obtain a CPR and First Aid Training certificates and must also be 21 years of age.

Bus Driver-
Have the ability to operate a large school bus in a safe and lawful manner during varying weather, road and traffic conditions; and to recognize when conditions are unsafe for bus operation. Have the ability to learn specific bus routes, complete scheduled routes in a timely manner, and adjust to periodic changes in schedules and routes. Maintain safe and appropriate atmosphere among students while they are being transported and communicate discipline issues to appropriate administrators. Recognize potential mechanical and safety equipment problems and report as designated.
Maintain a safe driving record and appropriate licensure and certification. Conduct vehicle pre and post trip inspections as prescribed by law.

Physical ability to adhere to OSHA and district safety regulations. Work within the district’s communicable disease control plan (blood borne pathogens) and be aware of the existence and potential exposure to hazardous chemicals as identified on the MSDS sheets. Responsibilities include student safety and security.
