ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for academic performance and responsibility for behavior.
  • Ensure high quality instruction takes place every day.
  • Collaborate with department and district colleagues.
  • Be willing to teach sections of Senior and Freshmen Seminar classes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Social Science curriculum.
  • Highly organized and strong communicator.
  • Ability to create and maintain community ties.
  • Effective at promoting self-discipline through classroom management strategies.

  • High ethical and professional standards; firm in personal values and direction.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for working with adolescents.
  • Collaborative spirit, ability to work well with a team of strong colleagues.

Primary Function: To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program, as designated by the Klamath County School District, in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.

 

Additional responsibilities and qualifications may be added for a specific position by the supervisor.  Physical ability to adhere to OSHA and district safety regulations.
