A teacher in the Klamath County School District has a responsibility to:
Guide the learning, interest, and activities of each student.
Be familiar with the laws relating to teachers and students, policies, rules, and regulations of the Klamath County School District Board and with the courses of study and curriculum guides adopted for the work of his/her respective teaching assignment.
Spend such time in addition to the regular day as may be needed to fulfill satisfactorily the responsibilities of lesson planning, student and parent conferences, faculty meetings, and other required tasks.
INFORMATION REGARDING RESTRICTED OREGON SUBSTITUTE TEACHING LICENSE: If you possess a Bachelor's Degree (or higher) you may be eligible to receive a Restricted Substitute License from Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC).
Please contact TSPC (503-378-3586) or visit their website for more information. Some of the materials TSPC will require are fingerprinting/criminal history verification, certified college transcripts, a letter from KCSD and fees.
