The ideal candidate will not only be a dynamic teacher of Art Education, but will also be passionate about building a strong arts/graphic arts program, collaborating with school and district colleagues, and creating strong ties with the community.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for academic performance and responsibility for behavior.
- Ensure high quality instruction takes place every day.
- Collaborate with department and district colleagues.
- Work closely with CTE staff, specifically in the area of graphic design.
- Work closely with yearbook staff and publications staff in the production of Blue and Gold quarterly journal and our annual yearbook.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Art / Graphic Arts curriculum.
- Experience with graphic design and publication programs (Adobe Premier.)
- Highly organized and strong communicator.
- Ability to create and maintain community ties.
- Effective at promoting self-discipline through classroom management strategies.

Primary Function: To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program, as designated by the Klamath County School District, in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
Additional responsibilities and qualifications may be added for a specific position by the supervisor. Physical ability to adhere to OSHA and district safety regulations.

COMPENSATION:
- 190 day contract
- Family medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance
- 6% PERS paid by District
- $42,632* base salary (2020-2021 base salary)
*2021/2022 salary is dependent upon contract negotiations.
