Primary Functions:
In coordination with the district's fulltime mentors and curriculum directors, part-time mentors will plan, organize, and implement an appropriate mentoring program for new and probationary teachers identfied by the district. All district mentor teachers work to foster a learning environment that guides and encourages new and probationary teachers to develop and fulfill their instructional potential.  Oregon teaching license required.  Ten years of successful teaching experience required.  Masters degree preferred.  Candidates should be familiar with cognitive coaching as a mentoring model.

 

The job requires the physical ability to adhere to OSHA and district safety regulations, to work within the district’s communicable disease control plan, and to be aware of the existence and potential exposure to hazardous chemicals as identified on the MSDS sheets.
